The most amazing and fun part of this book are the interesting stories that winds up in 4-6 pages with colorful illustrations. They are the great attractions for kids as well. Many of the poems and songs among them are little familiar- "O Little Town of Bethlehem", The Night Before Christmas”, I Saw Three Ships", "Away in the Manger". During the 1940s and the 1960s, there was complete series of "Tall Book of" collections in a particular format similar to the existing one. They all included around 96 pages. Some of the books in this series were "The Tall Book of Make Believe”, “The Tall Book of Fairy Tales" and "The Tall Book of Mother Goose" – the first was the rarest and little difficult to find.
For those among us who do nod to the religious and traditional aspect of Christmas, the book does begin with the story of Christmas. It is a factual story of Bethlehem and the mean innkeeper. Everyone loves the stories in this book as they are pictured with colorful graphics. The most amazing thing you can notice after taking this book in hand for the first time is the shape of the book. It’s really cool to see that book is thin and tall as per its name.
