The doors for Christmas 2011 have already opened. Christmas is observed on 25th December every year and this year it is falling on Sunday. This is observed as the birth of Jesus and is a very auspicious festival for the Christian community. It is the time when small children pray for gifts from Santa Clause and every one has a great time meeting relatives and friends. This is a time to enjoy and so the whole western region is almost considered as on a holiday. The schools, colleges, Government offices and businesses are closed for that duration. Life in the west mostly depends on public transports, but the transport is not on regular schedule and there are many changes faced by people in this festive season.
