Christmas is viewed as the harbinger of joy, happiness and sweet moments.
The birthday of Jesus Christ, the Son Of God is celebrated worldwide with parties, gatherings, exchange of gifts, music, dance and so on. Christmas trees, candles, stars, fireworks, wreaths, cakes, sweets and candies, and Santa-the old man with his bag of gifts just add up to the glamour of the celebration. All these make up for the Christmas decorations. Men, women and children decorate their homes with bright colors, marvelous accessories and beautiful articles which lend an all-together new look to their most-familiar home.
Christmas decorations have a really good impact upon the whole Christmas season. The decorations of a specific house reflect the personal taste and choice of the family members. The decorations provide that aesthetic pleasure and feel which serves as the only source of connection between man and the Almighty. It is an evergreen coniferous tree, available in natural and artificial variety, decorated with stars, tinsels, baubles and an angel on the top of it. The nicely-decorated tree gives its viewers the much-needed festive flavor.
From the traditional point of view, a Christmas bell holds a spiritual value which proclaims the birth of Jesus. In the modern age many of them like, crystal bells, cherub bells, chime bells are available, the jingling of which completes the decoration. Kissing under the Christmas mistletoe is another significant tradition which calls for its decoration. This sacred plant is believed to be a symbol of love and fertility. An evenly-trimmed and stylishly-decorated mistletoe makes the evening funny and romantic. To heighten the beauty of the festival, children's favorite Santa Claus comes jingling all the way to shower them with gifts and candies. So, the gifts and candies are to be wrapped in bright, colorful papers which should be done carefully, keeping in mind, the taste of the children.
Christmas decorations can be simple yet sophisticated, depending upon the taste of the family members. One can choose to decorate every nook and corner of the home with bright traditional colors, like red and green. Again today's youth and children do like other colors like mauve, violet and chrome. The tables can be covered by colorful fabrics, the staircase with wreaths and ribbons. The indoor and outdoor decoration can have some themes, like snowfall. Whatever might be the decoration it should be in correspondence with the festival, spreading the special Christmas feel in the air.

Christmas is the season of fun and frolic, gaiety and enjoyment. It comes as the beginning of a new season. People wait for the special twelve days with a lot of hope and excitement. They pour down their energies in making the season most beautiful and memorable. Children thoroughly enjoy the decorations. In the modern age, children try their hand at making small and wonderful articles like funky ornaments and cartoon characters. And the results are sometimes phenomenal. Colors, lights, bells, bows, ribbons, chocolates and gifts-what more for a Christmas? Christmas decorations just do not complete the festival; it actually paves the way to connect with The Son Of God.
