Without him, Christmas appears incomplete. He is supposed to be an angel which 'Jesus' has sent to spread peace and happiness all around. We can see 'Santa Claus' appearing in all the market places, towns, colonies etc. as he distributes Christmas gifts to the young ones as well as the grown-ups.

The Christmas trees are also an important part of Christmas. One can find Christmas trees present everywhere at the time of Christmas. These Christmas trees are attractively decorated. People use bells, candles and much more things to make these Christmas trees look attractive.

There are many important aspects of Christmas without which Christmas cannot be fully completed. Christmas elf is one such thing. Christmas elf: A Christmas elf is an unusually small creature who is believed to be living with 'Santa Claus'. He is supposed to be a helper of Santa. The Christmas elves are usually seen to be as a red or green clad. They have ears and nose that is pointed. They wear a hat that is pointed.

People say that the Christmas elves help Santa in making the Christmas gifts. These gifts are prepared in Santa's workshop. It is believed that these elves also take care of Santa's tasks as well as his reindeer. The actual origin of elves is from the pagan stories, that are in the northern part of the Europe.

Stocking of the elf boot

Material required:

The material that is required for preparing the elf boot stocking is mentioned below precisely

A pair of scissors
Fiberfill
Sewing pins (long size)
Clear tape
Red twisted cord (9 inches long)
Sewing needle (large eyed)
Embroidery floss (dark green color)
Red jingle bells (1 large size and 4 medium sized)
Light green floss (24 by 20 inches- 2 pieces)
Dark green felt (24 by 20 inches- 3 pieces)

Procedure to be followed:

To make the basic elf stocking cut out one boot shaped piece from each of the light green fleeces.
Now, from the dark green felt, you can cut out a decorative shape. This will make the front of the stocking. Cut out a stocking shape from the two remaining pieces.
Just place the dark green colored boot under the light green one and pin up the decorative pieces on top of it. Around the inner side of the decorative shape, you can whipstitch the floss through both the boots.
Keeping the dark green boots on the innerside, with the outer side as the light green boot. Use pins to put the decorative shapes on it. Make use of the floss for whipstitching the around the inner parts of the decorative shapes for both the boots.
The next step is pinning together all of the 4 boots in such a way that the dark green boots occupy the inner portion
Now make use of the floss and whipstitch around the edges for the purpose of sewing these boots together
