Christmas Lighting

Christmas is a holiday season full of excitement and festive fervor. People come together to welcome the Christmas festival. One cannot think about Christmas without great music and festive lights. These two are integral parts of Christmas celebration. During Christmas, Homes are decorated with evergreen wreaths, twigs of holly and mistletoe and so on. A Christmas tree is an important part of Christmas decoration. The tree is decorated with festive lights, tinsel and ornaments. Families have get-together, parties and feasts during the Christmas holiday season. Christmas brings hope, happiness and joy in ever individual's life. Christmas lighting is used to decorate the house, garden, courtyard and surroundings to welcome Jesus in the time of Christmas.

Christmas lighting has undergone tremendous change. In earlier time, candles were used in decoration. But, today we have electric bulbs, LED, string lights and so on. With new technology, lighting in Christmas is changing and developing every day. There are various types of Christmas lights like outdoor Christmas lights, Christmas tree lights, led Christmas lights and so on. The candles were replaced by incandescent lights in Christmas decoration. The incandescent lights emit white colored light. The bulb can give out multi colored light when the glass in painted with the colors. These lights are cheap but the color starts fading out when the lights become old.

After the incandescent bulbs, there is a growing trend of LEDs. The LED lights used for Christmas decoration consume less energy. They are durable and have low maintenance. These lights are available in to types like white and color. The quality of colored LEDs is quite good in comparison with incandescent colored bulbs. The color is emitted from LED chip so these bulbs do not fade colors. LED Christmas lights are durable and look great due their colors. The colored led Christmas light emits monochromatic color while white led lights create polychromatic light. The light produced through led is deep and intense.

Fiber optical lights too are used in Christmas lighting. We see a lot of artificial Christmas tree using fiber optic. The optic fibers are used to decorate Christmas tree. This is quite a popular trend. Bubble lights were another type of lights used in Christmas decoration. This trend of bubble lights was quite popular in 1950s. Today, we do not see much of these lights. They can be bought from websites and vintage shops. During Christmas, lights are displayed at public places. This public display has large C7 bulbs or miniature lights.
