The Christmas Wish is a family drama which was aired on CBS in the year 1998. This short TV film was distributed by Fremantle Media/ Sterling. This tele-film ran for about 2 hours and was loved by almost every viewer. This film was directed by Ian Barry and is available in DVD format today. The release date of the DVD is 15th September 2002 in the drama genre. The run time of this movie is 120 minutes and is there are a few instances that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

The Plot of the movie: -

Neil Patrick Harris plays the role of a cynical Wall Street trader, Will Martin; who returns to his hometown after the sad demise of his grandmother (Debbie Reynolds) who raised him. It is the time of Christmas, but he is totally out of mood and does not want to do anything for this Christmas season like the way other citizens of his locality are preparing.

But Will is just holding a façade and has something else running in his mind. He is not here to mourn for his dead granny but to capture the real estate company that is owned by his family and change the whole of it with the help of modern technology and take it to new heights. While Will used to live with his grandmother he found a diary of his grandfather which revealed a very long relationship of a woman named Lillian. She happened to be the mistress of his grandfather!

Now the aim of Will is to find the mystery woman! During this search, Will learns a lot about forgiveness, love, friendship and socializing! This beautiful TV representation is adapted from the novel which was written by Richard Siddoway premiered on CBS channel on 6th December 1998

Christmas Wish is a beautiful movie and will keep you in the groove for those 120 minutes. There are a few loose ends to this novel adaptation but then there comes a twist which will make you glue to the TV again. This may be an old movie, but if you have missed it then go out and rent a DVD to watch this Christmas classic!
