Christmas » Christmas Programs » Christmas Countdown

The Christmas countdown starts approximately two months before the Christmas Eve. Christmas, celebrated on 25th December is a festival of worship, enjoyment and gifts. Every individual, whether young or old, actively participates in this festival. Everyone is eager to worship Lord Jesus and exchange gifts. Thus, the Christmas countdown starts late in the month of October, usually the day after Halloween and the countdown goes until the 25th of December. The countdown indicates number of days, months, hours, minutes and even seconds that are left for the Christmas to arrive. The countdown turns to zero at midnight of 24th December and the Christmas Eve starts. Young children stick their eyes to the Christmas counter and wait eagerly for the Christmas Eve as they want gifts from Santa Claus.

Many Christmas themes, wallpapers, screensavers are designed with the Christmas countdown timer. The Christmas countdown makes it easy to plan a good holiday. Few of the points for planning a good holiday are given below.

Wardrobe Check: Check for each family member's wardrobe for appropriate holiday-clothing beforehand. Sort out whether each member has good clothing. If you need to buy new clothes for any member, discuss it with them.

Planning Holiday Meals: Food adds spice to your holiday. You can plan on different food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many articles show up in the newspapers and on television before holidays. Try and select options that would be enjoyed by your family. While planning, you must also think about the health of your family members. You must avoid excess sugar if any diabetic person exists in your family, also you can try avoiding excess oily foods.

Planning Decorations: Plan what kind of decoration you are going to do this Christmas. You can plan decorating your house with flowers and candles. Try using jingle bells and decorate a Christmas tree with balloons and holiday lights. You can also use coloring pages colored by your kids to decorate. This may add an emotional touch to the decoration. Decide the things you have on hand and things you need to buy.

Planning Parties: If you are planning for parties, make sure you have all the essential goods required. See to it that you have ample knives, forks and plates for your guests. Try to get some good Christmas music which would entertain you and your guests throughout the party. Decorate your house with holiday lights. Arrange food which can be liked by all.

Shopping Plans: Once you are done with planning gifts, parties, wardrobe, meals and decorations, the most important thing that comes is shopping.
