Annie Lennox Christmas is actually an album called 'A Christmas Cornucopia'. This was her sixth solo album. Surprisingly enough, Annie was actually born on Christmas day! Quite a few people who gave previous reviews about this album have found it to be quite good. Annie has simply turned around the usual traditional songs of Christmas into her own ways. Nevertheless, they sound delightful. The album includes various songs that have been written by various song writers. This album has been quite popular and to such an extent that on the U.S. Billboard Top Holiday Albums, this album managed to score a 7th position.
One of the most famous songs, 'Universal Child' which was also her first solo, was released on the 12th of October 2010. All the funds that she made from this song were donated to the Annie Lennox Foundation. This is a foundation which raises money for educating and supporting children and women in Africa, who have HIV/ AIDS. Another famous song from this album is 'God Rest Ye merry, Gentlemen'.
This is a traditional English Christmas carol. This song has been very well appraised by various critics. The premier of the video of this particular song was made on the 4th of November 2010.
'O Little Town of Bethlehem' is again well loved by a lot of people. The lyrics of this song were written by Phillips Brook and the music to this song was by Lewis Redner. Various instruments were used in the performance of this song. The instruments used by Annie Lennox include a Wurlitzer Piano, flutes and pipe organs.

- 'See amid the Winter Snow' - in this song, Annie Lennox is on the vocal percussion, reed organ, santur, ululation, whistle; Mike Stevens is on the oud, bass, drone and keys.
- Il est ne le divin enfant'- this is a French Christmas carol. This carol welcomes the birth of Jesus. In this song, Annie Lennox is on the harmonium, Rhodes piano and the panpipes. Barry Van Zyl and Mark Stevens are on the African Drums and Percussions while Mike Stevens is on the acoustic guitar and the bass.
- 'The First Noel'- this is another Traditional English Carol. This is probably from the 18th century. Here, Annie Lennox takes charge of the piano whereas Mike Stevens is on the church organ, bass and the acoustic guitars.
- 'Lullay Lullay (Coventry Carol)' - this again is an English carol. This song used to be performed in the Coventry in England. It used to be a part of the play known as 'The Pageant of Shearman and Tailors'. For this song, Annie Lenox is on the Kora Keyboard, Ewe
Drum and the dulcimer. Mike Stevens is on the bass and the nylon guitar. Barry Van Zyl and Mark Stevens are on the percussions.
Other songs in this albums include , 'Silent Night', 'The Holly and the Ivy', 'In the Bleak Midwinter' and 'As Joseph was Walking '.
All of these songs have been very well performed and Annie Lennox seemed extremely confident and enthusiastic. The effect that The African Children's Choir added to the songs won hearts of many.
