With the latest technology in agriculture, farmers are getting better yield due to improved seed quality, fertilizers and pesticides. A green belt is created, which is need of hour.

Earlier, these plantations were on low quality agricultural lands. But today, we see a lot of farms go for land that is suitable for agriculture and that has high quality. Extreme cold and hot climate has effects on the growth of these trees. If it snows early, then the farmers face problems while harvesting. There are farmers, who allow the customers to visit their farms and choose a tree and cut it for them. There are some farmers who sell their trees to wholesalers. They cut the trees, move them and load them on transport vehicles and sent them to wholesalers. All these activities are done in the month of November.

The government is encouraging the farmers as the trees are environment friendly. The farmers get good money from the yield and they do a good job for the ecology and environment. As the trees are biodegradable they do not become a waste after the festival like artificial trees.
