Christmas holiday season is a great time to enjoy the festival and spend time with your family and friends. After the holiday season is over, one has to think about the disposal of the real artificial tree. Recycling is an important thing that one has to do with real tree that you have used during the festival of Christmas. Many people do not know how to recycle the real tree and therefore opt for artificial Christmas tree that can be used for years together. There are a lot of non government organizations that work in this respect of recycling the used real Christmas trees. The government too is creating awareness about this among citizens and helping them in recycling.

Recycling is the best way to give back the tree to nature, show environment friendliness and maintain the ecological balance. Let's take a look at different ways of recycling the real Christmas tree:

• Every city has some organizations that pickup the real tree from your house and recycles them. You just need to contact them and ask for their services. These organizations create mulch out of the tree and use it public parks, gardens. It is a great way to get back to nature.

• If you have a garden in your back yard then the best thing is to replant the real Christmas tree. This can be done only if the tree is in good condition i.e. it is still fresh. It will grow and you can always decorate it in coming years and use it as your Christmas tree.

• If you know a wood chipper then you can create your own mulch. Cut the tree into small pieces and use it in your garden. You can use those chips in the compost manure pit that you have in your garden. It will be decompose in natural manner.

• The tree can be kept in the garden and can be used as a bird habitat. Make sure all the decorations are removed before using it in the garden. If your garden has a pond and you breed fishes then this tree can be used as a fish habitat. The fishes can hide in; they can have food from the tree.

• If you want to help nature in some way or other then you can use the tree to reduce erosion on seashore. The trunk and branches of the dead real trees are used as barriers on the shore. This helps in stopping the sand from erosion on the sea shores.
