Church Christmas Party

The first thing on Christmas morning that a true Christian will do is to go to the church. If the morning celebration at the church goes well the whole day will go well. During Christmas, it is important that the church takes care of its people. This can be done through a church Christmas party. It is important to have a Christmas party in the church as the church reflects the aspects of Christianity.

The church is an important part in a Christian's life. Therefore, Christians consider it an important task to visit the church on Christmas. Some prefer attending the mid night mass while some go for the morning mass. After the religious mass, it is a good idea to have a church Christmas party to boost up the spirits of Christmas. However, a party that takes place in the church is far more different then the other parties. Through a Christmas party in the church, we get to know new people whom we meet every Sunday but do not know anything about them.

Most of the times the responsibility of arranging a party in the church is given to the Sunday school children. For all these children, here are a few church Christmas party ideas that will help in arranging a good party:

• Remember that you are planning for a party in the church. You must plan things that would not affect the ethics of the church.
• Decoration is important in the church especially during Christmas. Use more of red, green and white color to symbolize the traditionalism of Christmas. Make cut outs of bells, baubles, Christmas tree, Santa Claus and his sleigh.
• A nativity scene is important in the church. In some churches, you will find people adoring the statue of Jesus kept in the nativity scene. So, decorate the scene artistically.
• Make sure that every year you do not enact the same play. Come up with new ideas so that the audience does not get bored.
• Christmas party in the church will not require dance or any kind of merriness. You can arrange for games and a play to be shown to the people.
• Play a religious background music that will create a spiritual ambience in the surrounding.
• Arrange for some snacks and drinks. See to it that alcohol is not allowed in the church. You can arrange for snacks like sandwich, patties or chips. A piece of Christmas cake should be given to all.
• Make sure that everyone gets a gift be it small or big, especially the kids. You can give those gifts through a game or just give gifts to everyone through Santa Claus.
• Volunteer a person as Santa and ask him or her to dress up like Santa and dance before the kids.
• Finally, ask them to wish everyone Christmas so that they get to know each other and come closer on the special occasion of Christmas.

Church Christmas party has to be planned keeping in mind the sacred place and the holy occasion.
