Ingredients for the Christmas biscuits:
- Softened butter (175 gm)
- Castor sugar (100 gm)
- Egg yolk (1 medium)
- Silver balls and ribbons
- Icing sugar (50 gm)
- Plain flour (250 gm)
Procedure for the Christmas biscuits:
- Take butter and sugar in a bowl. Beat the sugar and butter until it becomes creamy. Now beat the egg yolk and add flour to it. Mix it properly to get smooth and nice dough. Gather all this properly using your hands and wrap it into a material known as the Clingfilm. Allow it to chill for about 30 minutes.
- Now preheat your oven with a temperature of almost 160 to 180degrees Celsius.
- Take baking paper as well as two trays for baking the cookies
- Next step is rolling out the mixed dough between the Clingfilm sheets that we have taken. The thickness of this rolling dough should be as thick as a £2 coin.
- Now you can cut the dough of your cookies into various shapes like trees, stars etc. and put the dough onto the baking tray which we have taken. Make sure you keep small gaps around the biscuits. If you are planning to hang them on your Christmas tree to make them look more special, make sure that your cookies have small holes where you can put ribbon to hang them.
- You need to bake these biscuits for around 15 minutes. Allow them to stay for 10 minutes and then cool these biscuits using your wire tray.
- After you remove your baked biscuits, drizzle onto it, some icing. Decorate them with the silver balls that you have taken. Before you store these special Christmas biscuits, just allow the icing to get settled.

Christmas biscuits for the slimming world:
Ingrediants:
- Sifted icing sugar (2 table spoon)
- Beaten egg (1 medium)
- Plain flour (198 gm)
- Ground ginger (1/2 table spoon)
- Ground cinnamon (1/2 table spoon)
- Blended splenda brown sugar (42 gm)
- Low-fat spread such as flora light (100 gm)
- Pink sprinkles (1 table spoon)
Procedure:
- Pre heat your oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Take a big enough bowl. Mix the spices, flour, splenda and the low-fat spread together in it till you get it well combined. Now stir this well in the beaten eggs.
- Mix the dough and bring it together properly. Wrap your dough in the cling film. Keep this in the refrigerator for almost 30 minutes.
- Now remove the dough and divide it into two portions so that it becomes easy to work on it. Roll out pieces from your dough which is almost as thick as 5mm.
- Use a star cutter of about 5cm to cut out the pieces from the dough. Place these pieces onto a baking tray which has a non-stick nature. Make sure that you create holes in the biscuits which are big enough for threading a ribbon pass through it. Bake your biscuits for almost 12 minutes and allow them to cool on the baking tray.
- To decorate your biscuits, mix the icing sugar with water and make this mixture thick. You can dazzle this on your baked biscuits to decorate them. Allow them to set after the icing is complete.
- Lastly, thread some colorful ribbons through the biscuits in order to hang them on the Christmas
