Out of the many Christmas cakes, chocolate Christmas cakes are the most liked. Chocolate is liked by everyone. Every child urges for a bar of chocolate whenever they go out with their parents to any store. Therefore, when it comes in the form of a Christmas cake then everyone will surely like to share a piece of it. Chocolate is bitter to taste in its original form but when mixed with the right ingredients it is sweet and tasty.

You might be thinking that if the cake is so yummy then it would be difficult to make it. Below you will find two of the easy to do Christmas cakes that you can make at home during Christmas.

  1. Butter Cream Cocoa Frosting

    This is a wonderful to taste Christmas cake and can be easily made at home.

    • Ingredients
      • For the cake
        • One and a half cup flour
        • Half cup milk
        • Half cup vegetable oil
        • Three table spoons unsweetened cocoa powder
        • One cup sugar
        • Two teaspoons baking powder
        • Two eggs
        • Two pinches salt
        • Two teaspoons vanilla essence
      • To Dress up the cake
        • One cup and three tablespoons of butter
        • Three cups powdered sugar
        • Half cup of cocoa powder
        • One and half cup vanilla essence
        • Four to five tablespoons lukewarm milk
    • Process
      • Preheat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit or 180 degree Celsius and Butter the cake dish
      • Take bowl and mix flour, cocoa powder, salt, sugar, vanilla essence, milk, vegetable oil and eggs.
      • Now transfer this mixture into the buttered utensil and bake it to 350 degrees for about 35-45 minutes.
      • Now cool the cake and slice it into two layers.
      • To make the cake yummier take another bowl and mix cream butter, powdered sugar, cocoa, vanilla and four tablespoons lukewarm milk.
      • Now mix this mixture and apply it in between the two slices of cake and on top of the cake. You can even make a design out of it on the cake.

  2. Dark Chocolate Cake

    • What to add?
      • Two tablespoons cocoa powder
      • One teaspoon baking powder
      • Half can (400 grams for full can) condensed milk
      • Half cup melted butter
      • One cup plain flour
      • One teaspoon vanilla essence
      • Half teaspoon soda bi-carbonate

    • How to make
      • Mix in a bowl the baking powder, cocoa powder, soda bi-carbonate and flour.
      • Add Half cup (100 ml.) of water in a bowl and mix well.
      • Grease a bowl with butter and add these ingredients into it.
      • Now bake it into a preheated oven for about twenty minutes.
      • Now serve it when it cools down.
