Chocolate caramel candy is one of the delicious Christmas candies out of many. Chocolate as we all know is the seed of a tree called as Theobroma cocoa. There are two types of chocolates; dark and light. Today, you will find chocolate been processed in many forms for commercial purposes. Caramel is a confection that refers to cooked sugar or simply sugar syrup. Caramels differ in their taste and softness because of their cooking time and the ingredients.

Christmas caramel chocolate candies are a combination of both the above delicious things. There are many types in chocolate caramels. Most of the things required are available readily in any grocery store. Below, you will find recipes to make delicious Christmas chocolate caramel candy.

  1. Chocolate Caramel Candy Bars

    Ingredients

    • Ten ounces Semi sweet chopped chocolate
    • One ounce of cashews
    • Two ounces of store bought candies
    • One table spoon cream

    Method

    • Put all the chocolates in a double boiler and let it melt.
    • Now, remove all the chocolate from it and make sure that chocolate has covered all the cavities in the boiler
    • Now, keep it in the refrigerator and allow it to cool.
    • While it cools down, take another oven safe bowl and add caramel, one tbsp cream and one tbsp water in it. Now, melt the caramel.
    • After it is fully melted then pour them in the cavities of chocolate that is set in the boiler. Do not fill the cavities with caramel until the brim.
    • Keep little part for chopped cashews. Now, put chopped cashews on top of caramel.
    • After all this, finish the candy with a layer of chocolate.
    • Now you can remove them from the boiler and set it to freeze.

  2. Coffee Caramels

    Ingredients

    • One cup granulated sugar
    • Half cup dark brown sugar
    • One fourth cup light corn syrup
    • One fourth cup honey
    • Two tbsp instant coffee
    • One fourth cup butter
    • One tsp vanilla extract

    Method

    • Butter the baking pan or else coat it with aluminum foil.
    • Now, take another saucepan and add sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, honey, instant coffee and butter.
    • Heat the ingredients to 250 degree Celsius.
    • Once this is done add vanilla to it.
    • Then add caramel to it and allow it to cool till is gets firm.
    • Now remove the candy from pan along with the foil.
    • Now cut it according to the desired shape and then wrap it in the same foil.
