It is a strange idea to have ice cream on the cold season when your teeth are striking each other due to cold and when you wrap yourself in a jacket, but it is a different excitement to have ice cream on Christmas, the other Christmas desserts are common for every Christmas.

People normally eat ice cream in the summer season. This Christmas try out to have ice cream in the winter season during the special moment of Christmas. Ice creams can be easily made at home and you do not have to get out in the cold and buy it from a store.

  1. Stem Ginger Ice Cream Recipe

    Spicy taste of ginger and sweetness of ice cream, this ice cream is a combination of both. Try this out for Christmas and please your family.

    Ingredients

    • Seventy five grams caster sugar
    • Two fifty ml double (heavy) cream
    • One twenty five ml water
    • One tablespoon of syrup from the ginger jar
    • Three egg yolks
    • Seventy five mg finely chopped stem ginger

    Method

    • Take a saucepan and add sugar and water in it. Heat until the sugar in it dissolves (use a low flame).
    • After the sugar is completely dissolved increase the flame and boil the mixture. Continue boiling for two to three minutes.
    • Remove the pan from the flame and then allow it to cool a bit then pour egg yolks in it and mix while pouring. Mix until it becomes cloudy in texture.
    • Now take another bowl, whip the double cream in it, and then add stem ginger in it.
    • Now add ginger syrup in it.
    • Now, transfer this mixture into ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer's manual.

  2. Pepper Mint Ice Cream Recipe

    To have ice creams in the wintry season of Christmas is a different joy. Make this yummy ice cream with peppermint candy and delight your family members.

    Ingredients

    • One and half cups half-and-half cream
    • One cup crushed peppermint candies
    • Four and a half teaspoons vanilla extract
    • Four egg yolks
    • Three fourth cup sugar
    • One fourth teaspoon salt
    • Two cups whipping cream

    Method

    • Take a saucepan and add egg yolks, half-and-half cream, salt and sugar.
    • Cook and stir the mixture until 160 degree Fahrenheit. Cook it on a low flame.
    • Then place this pan in a bowl of ice water and stir continuously for two minutes.
    • Add to this vanilla and whipping cream.
    • Refrigerate this mixture for hours or the whole night.
    • Add to this peppermint candy.
    • Allow it to soak in the ice cream. Do this two to four hours before serving.
