  1. White Christmas Pie Recipe

    Ingredients

    • Half teaspoon salt
    • Three fourth teaspoon vanilla extract
    • Four tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • Half cup heavy whipping cream
    • Three egg whites
    • A nine inch pie crust, baked
    • One fourth teaspoon cream of tartar
    • One and half cups milk
    • One fourth cup cold water
    • One cup flaked coconut
    • One cup white sugar
    • Two tablespoons flaked coconut
    • One package unflavored gelatin

    Method

    • Add gelatin in a bowl of cold water and try to soften it.
    • Take a saucepan, add half a cup sugar, salt and flour and stir the mixture.
    • Cook this on a low flame and gradually add little milk in it.
    • Continue stirring until it starts to boil.
    • Let it boil for a minute and then remove from the flame.
    • Move this mixture to another large bowl and then add softened gelatin in it.
    • Mix it properly until it gets smooth and then add vanilla and a cup coconut.
    • Take another bowl and add cream in it and whip it, then add coconut mixture to it.
    • In another bowl, beat eggs until it gets frothy, to this add cream of tartar and half a cup of sugar. Keep beating until it becomes completely frothy.
    • Now add the coconut mixture. Pile this filling into a cool pie shell.
    • Sprinkle with additional coconut if necessary. Let it cool down for two hours.

  2. Red Currant Christmas Pie Recipe

    When red currants are added to sweet food, they increase the sweetness of the food. Christmas pie and red currants are a wonderful combination. It takes just an hour and ten minutes to make this luscious Christmas dessert.

    Ingredients

    • One teaspoon baking powder
    • Two egg yolks
    • Two egg whites
    • Half cup white sugar
    • One and Half teaspoons grated lemon zest
    • Half cup white sugar
    • Two and one fourth cups red currants
    • Half cup butter, softened
    • Half cups all-purpose flour
    • Two teaspoons cornstarch

    Method

    • For the dough: Take a medium sized bowl and add flour and baking powder in it.
    • Then add butter, sugar, egg yolks and lemon zest and mix until dough is formed.
    • Let the dough cool down for thirty minutes.
    • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and roll the dough into a pan form.
    • Bake the dough for twenty-five minutes until the dough turns golden yellow.
    • To make filling: Beat the egg white until it forms a foamy mixture in a bowl
    • Gradually add sugar and cornstarch and continue stirring.
    • Add red currants in this mixture and then pour it into the piecrust.
    • Again bake the pie for another ten minutes and then enjoy your delicious pie.
