  • Ingredients:
    • 2 Tbsp. sugar
    • 2 cups all purpose flour
    • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 2 cups buttermilk
    • 4 separated eggs
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1 tsp. baking powder
    • oil or lard

  • Preparation:
    • To prepare Aebleskiver, first you need to beat egg whites and set aside
    • Now, you need to beat remaining ingredients until batter gets smooth
    • After this, you need to fold in egg whites
    • Now, you need to place the batter on a pan and heat at 300 degrees
    • When it turns brown on one side, you need to turn it.. To check whether it is done, you need to insert a knitting needle and then keep turning until the needle comes clean after piercing through cake

2. Ris Alamonde: This is the most favored Christmas dessert. It is often served at the end of Christmas dinner. It is filled with cut almonds as well as one whole almond. This is one of the yummy and the most favored Danish Christmas recipes.

  • Ingredients:
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla
    • 2 2/3 cups boiling water
    • 1/3 cup rice
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 cup cherry -- chilled
    • 6 tablespoons sugar
    • 2 cups heavy cream
    • 1/2 cup almonds -- chopped
    • 2 teaspoons gelatin powder, unsweetened

  • Preparation:
    • To make Ris almonds, first you need to wash the rice and then drain it
    • After this, you need to stir it gently into boiling water and add salt
    • Now, you need to cook without stirring
    • Stir the gelatin into cherry in another bowl
    • After this, you have to place it over hot water to melt
    • Now, you need to add this to the rice
    • Stir in almonds and sugar
    • Now, you need to whip heavy cream stiff
    • After this, you should fold vanilla in stiff cream
    • Now, you need to mix this in the rice and pour into a bowl
    • Cool for few hours before serving
