Ingredients
- Peppermint Oil
- One cup corn syrup
- Powdered sugar
- Half teaspoon baking powder
- One cup water
- Four tablespoons vanilla
- One cup sugar
Method
- Take a saucepan add a cup of sugar, corn syrup and water in it.
- Cook it on a medium-high flame for some time until a soft-crack stage.
- Then remove the pan from the flame.
- Now add half a teaspoon of peppermint oil and two to three drops of food color.
- Stir the mixture well.
- Now pour this mixture on cookie sheet.
- Now let the mixture on the sheet cool down just enough so that you can hold it.
- Now roll the sheet into a rope shape (you can even try out different shapes).
- Now twist the candy cane on top to form a hook.
- Now place this on a coated cookie sheet until it dries completely.

Ingredients
- One and half cups light corn syrup
- Cinnamon flavoring
- Red Food Coloring
- One cup water
- Three and three fourth cup sugar
Method
- Take readily prepared candy molds, grease them with butter, and keep them aside.
- Take a large saucepan and mix sugar, light corn syrup and water.
- Keep it on a low flame and stir until the sugar in it melts and the mixture begins to boil.
- Continue to boil the mixture but do not continue stirring once the sugar is dissolved.
- After sometime, the mixture will stop boiling; now add cinnamon flavor and red food color in it. Now take down the saucepan from the flame.
- Now take those buttered candy molds and put them in the prepared mixture.
- Let the mixture cool and then take the molds out of the mixture after it is completely coated with the mixture.
- Store these sweet candies in an airtight container
Tip
- If you do not have candy molds, then use cookie sheets and spread the mixture evenly on it. Then cut it into desired shapes.
- If you stir the mixture, while the ingredients are melting then this can result in a cloudy candy.
