1. Almond Soup Recipe: Almond soup is served in every Christmas dinner. This is one of the delicious Spanish Christmas recipes. You will love this soup. You can easily prepare this soup with our easy to follow recipe
- Ingredients:
- 1.25 litres (2 1/4pt) milk
- 150 gram powdered almonds or almond paste
- 200 ml olive oil
- 2 tbsp fine fresh bread crumbs
- A few threads of saffron
- Garnish
- 2 cloves of garlic
- A few sprigs of parsley
- White peppercorns
- 50 g (2 oz) toasted chopped almonds
- 12 small, very thin slices of bread, fried in olive oil
- Coarse salt
- Preparation:
- To make this delicious soup, you first need to mix together the garlic, saffron, parsley, pepper and coarse salt in a bowl.
- Bring the milk to a boil
- Now, you need to mix well the powdered almonds, sugar and mixture from bowl into boiling milk.
- After this, you need to lower the heat and allow to cook gradually for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Serve garnished with slices of fried bread and toasted cut almonds.
2. TOURON Ice Cream Recipe: This ice cream is Arabic in origin made with sugar and almonds during Christmas in Spain. You will surely like this recipe as it is one of the famous and tasty Spanish Christmas recipes.
- Ingredients:
- 150 gram sugar
- 6 egg yolks
- 2 tbsp Malaga wine
- Sauce
- 3 egg whites
- 4 tbsp water
- 1/2 tbsp water
- Butter a 500 ml (1 pt) soufflé dish.
- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 200 g (7 oz) dark chocolate
- 150 g (6 oz) soft Jijona nougat
- Roughly break up the Alicante nougat
- 75 g (3 oz) hard Alicante nougat
- 200 ml liquid crème fraîche
- Preparation:
- First, you require placing a paper collar across the edge of souffle dish and then put it in the freezer.
- Make light syrup with water and sugar.
- Beat egg yolks and syrup using blender.
- Now, you need to break Jijona nougat into two tablespoons of wine.
- Beat egg whites to stiff peaks.
- Cautiously, fold together all the mixtures in similar order.
- Shake over the souffle mould with Alicante nougat.
- Pour it in the made cream mixture.
- Leave it in the freezer for long hours to get best results.
- After removing mixture from freezer, you also need to remove paper, sprinkle with remaining Alicante nougat and serve with warm chocolate sauce.
- To make warm chocolate sauce, you should place chocolate and water in a bowl and melt over a pan of simmering water.
